The hardness of commercializing innovative technologies results mainly from the high costs of research and specialized knowledge as well as from the lack of access to specialized data and laboratories.

Our Centre offers service and promotion activities in range of intellectual property rights, technology transfer, research & development, commercialization of knowledge, entrepreneurship and stimulation of innovativeness.

6. find and learn about  instruments for funding research

Since there we have helped more than 10 start-ups come into being and obtained 9 research grants within 7th Framework Programme in an total amount of 2.226.624,00 €. Thanks to RCIiTT scientists participating in mobility programmes from UE had the opportunity to do internships in companies, scientific institutions and universities from Norway, Italy, Austria and Germany.

A living example of the cooperation between universities and industries promoted by RCIiTT is the Center for Bioimmobilization and Innovative Packing Materials, created at West Pomeranian University of Technology Szczecin with participation of the companies Fleischmannschaft Ltd and  Hersta Sp. j. Professor Artur Bartkowiak, head of project, consulted RCIiTT in order to find the right structure fund for the construction of the centre.

Among the countless licenses commercialized with the assistance of RCIiTT one may mention PhD Krzysztof Penkala’s program license. PhD Penkala and his team developed a program that can be implemented in devices used for eyesight diagnostic, helping, for example, in retina analysis by diagnosing glaucoma. The license has been bought by the German producer of medical devices, Roland Consult.
