125 relays in Kasprowicza Park
Softline Polska is the winner of 2016 NCDC Business Race for teams representing companies and institutions.
The relay race was the 11th event organized by an IT company, NCDC. The route of the run through the Kasprowicza Park was 4 km-long. All four-member relay teams completed the run. The competitors comprised of all women’s, all men’s and mixed relay teams, mainly from West Pomeranian IT and chemical firms. A healthy rivalry, good fun and lots of positive energy helped tighten intercompany relations in accordance with an established conviction whereby people are the key to success in business and sport.
Running like a graceful deer!, was one of the comments of journalist and sports commentator Jarosław Marendziak, the host of the event. On another occasion he would say jokingly: Look how he shot forward, like a squirrel! All you can see is dust, or He was hiding in the bushes half an hour to finish like this! He would also cheered the runners on: Here comes the first lady, let’s make some noise, let’s make her go crazy! And lot’s of noise there was indeed for all the ladies completing their 4 km run.
The team with the best result in the overall classification was Softline Polska (time: 1:06:39). Teams Ferrosan Medical Devices (1:08:33) and Animex Foods (1:08:48) came second and third, respectively. BL Stream and NCDC completed the race soon after (both with the same result: 1:09:36).
This year we definitely had more competitors who were prepared for the run because they knew a lot of the route would be tough uphill sections. For example all NCDC teams were faster than last year. Plus, the winning team’s time was better than last year, sums up Pawel Finkielman, owner of NCDC and originator of the NCDC Business Race.
The winner in the women’s relay category was team Colopast Business Centre with a time mark of 1:31:24. Soon after came women’s teams Grupa Azoty Police Serwis (1:34:13) and BL Stream (1:35:52). In the men’s relay category the places on the podium went to Softline Polska (1:06:39), Ferrosan Medical Devices (1:08:33) and Animex Foods (1:08:48). The best mixed relay race teams were Grupa Azoty Police (time 1:10:41), Epa (1:13:46) and Cargotec Poland (1:17:41).
