Turzyn, which is the best known market place in Szczecin, is to have a shopping centre (also named Turzyn). The ceremony of laying a foundation act took place on 15 October.

The shopping centre is to be constructed by 2011. The three-storey complex with shops, services and offices is to provide approx. 21 thousand square meters and have a separate part with restaurants and cafes, health farm and 400 parking spaces. The shopping centre will house merchants who so far have been trading on the market place.

The project will cost PLN 50 million and will include a 15 million contribution from the merchants. PLN 35 million will come from an investment loan from the PKO BP Bank. The loan has been guaranteed by the Business Development Fund of the City of Szczecin.
Turzyn, a company whose shareholders are the merchants trading on the market place, is the investor. The project will be carried out by Erbud.
