Established in Zielona Góra in 2013 by two experienced engineers - Marcin Nowakowski and Andrzej Głód,  Sidus Novum focuses on design and manufacture of advanced industrial and consumer electronics devices. During the first years of its operations it successfully fulfilled a number of contracts, among others for Polish and Danish contractors.

The Company obtained a subsidy from Pomeranus Seed seed capital fund operating within the structures of the Polish Entrepreneurs’ Foundation, and from private investors belonging to Amber Business Angels Network (also set up by PFP): Krystian Stypuła (co-founder of Home.pl) and Tomasz Pikulski (co-owner of Saude Capital).  Then, after three years of Sidus Novum’s existence, the shares of the company have been purchased by Multisoft SA of Zielona Góra. The parties to the transaction do not want to disclose the financial details of the sale.

“The purchase of Sidus Novum’s shares and the resultant acquisition of a competent engineering team and contracts constitutes an element of Multisoft’s long-term growth strategy,” says Krzysztof Tomaszuk, the chairman of Multisoft’s management board.

Multisoft offers comprehensive management solutions for corporate IT infrastructure, advanced systems of monitoring, audio and video recording. The Company also has a proven track record of success in developing ATC air traffic control systems; it provides services in the scope of testing and certification of IT networks.

“It is our second exit from an investment this year. Together with angel investors from Amber Business Angels Network, we will invest the capital thus obtained in other tech companies,” says Barbara Bartkowiak, the chairperson of the management of the Polish Entrepreneurs’ Foundation.

In mid-May PFP sold 30 per cent of its shares in Alterium Holding, a Szczecin company operating under the business name of FinPack. The investment is described in more detail in our article about Morizon’s purchase of FinPack.

Polish Entrepreneurs’ Foundation has been operating since 1997.
