Thus far, KK Group shares had been held by PKA, a Danish pension fund, and Maj Invest Equity. In its over 35-year history, KK Group changed its business profile from the supply of components to the supply of electrical systems for the wind power industry. Currently, the entity is one of the leading providers of such solutions and more than 60% of the global offshore wind power facilities rely on the electronics manufactured by KK Group.

According to Tommy G. Jespersen, CEO, KK Group, “Solix is a perfect match for the business strategy adopted by KK Group, which assumes the entity's global expansion in addition to further acceleration of our market growth.” At the same time, Jespersen admits that both him and Johnny Haahr, in charge of finance, will keep their positions at KK Group.

What effect does the takeover have on the operations of KK Wind Solutions? “Thus far, the change of the owner has not resulted in modification of the growth strategy of KK Wind Solutions. The whole team has stayed with the new owner. We want to further develop our relationships with the existing clients and acquire new ones,” explains Angelika Muchowska, Communications Specialist, KK Wind Solutions Sp. z o.o.

The branch in Szczecin, which was opened in 2003, is responsible for the entire production of the Danish company. The KK Wind Solutions plant has five production halls with an area of ca. 18,000 square metres, located at Goleniowska Street, including one in the North-West Logistics Park. The Siemens Group and Senvion Germany are its key accounts. KK Group as a whole employs more than 800 people and the Szczecin branch itself ca. 650.

Solix makes long-term investments in industrial companies with an annual turnover of more than 67 million euro. Its portfolio includes manufacturers of road signs, fibre cement products as well as electric motors and power transmission systems.
