The franchise contract – which replaced the management agreement – was signed on 18 November by Krzysztof Rodzoch, the president of  Pazim Sp. z o.o., and Valerie Sheurmans, director of business development at Carlson Rezidor Development Hotel Group - the hotel operator.

 

“Under the previous contract with Carlson Rezidor we did not have much flexibility. In addition, there were two HR departments. Now we will be able to adjust and simplify the organizational structure.  Previously the costs of technical department and security were subdivided into hotel-related expenditures and Pazim office lease costs , but now the fees connected with the hotel’s membership in the network will only be dependent on the profits earned from the rooms,” explains Krzysztof Rodzoch.    

 

“We will keep the brand. The hotel will continue to follow the network philosophy, making sure that the customers are fully satisfied with the services. The guests are sure not to notice any change,” says Wioletta Szczepańska, director of the marketing and sales department at Radisson Blu.

 

However, a shift will take place at the top management level - beginning form January, 01, the hotel director Jurgen Preiss will be replaced by Wioletta Szczepańska who has been connected with Radisson Blu since its establishment in Szczecin.  

 

Radisson Blu in Szczecin has been part of the Pazim complex for over 23 years. In addition to 369 hotel rooms and office spaces, it houses the largest rehabilitation and wellness centre in West Pomerania (Baltica Wellness & Spa) as well as Café 22 coffee shop which commands a panoramic view of the city. Hotel guests can use the modern conference centre and meeting rooms which cover the total of over one thousand square meters, they may have a meal in one of the restaurants:  Café Europa or Renaissance, visit a bar: Lobby Bar or Copernicus or go to a fitness club.

 

There are six Radisson Blu hotels in Poland and one Park Inn by Radisson. In 2017 a new Radisson hotel will be opened in Świnoujście and another one is scheduled to be built in Zakopane in 2018.
