Center for Nanotechnology Research and Education in the West Pomeranian University of Technology has opened

The building located at al. Piastów has 10 thousand square meters of useable floor space and it houses 72 labs, practice and lecture rooms.

 The Centre will serve the needs of three departments of the West Pomeranian University of Technology:  Institute of Technology and Chemical Engineering, Department of Mechatronics and Material Engineering, Department of Building and Architecture, and Department of Biotechnology and Animal Husbandry.      

“The joint intellectual potential of teams specializing in such distinct fields will bring a synergy effect in the form of world class research,” says professor Włodzimierz Kiernożycki, the rector of the West Pomeranian University of Technology.  “The activities of the Center are also in line with the plans of the provincial authorities to have bio-economy as the region’s specialization.”    

The investment project worth PLN 40 million is carried out by Erbud.  The official opening of the Centre was accompanied by a conference on nanotechnology.
