The procurement procedure announced on 6 August is a two-stage open tender. Entities interested in building the LNG terminal in Świnoujście may submit their tender applications by 30 September 2009. In November 2009 four bidders will be selected to whom an initial invitation to tender will be sent out. 31 December 2009 is the deadline for submission of the initial tenders. Subsequently negotiations with the bidders will be conducted, following which the final tenders will be submitted until 12 April 2010. The contract with the General Contractor for the LNG terminal in Świnoujście is planned to be signed in mid-2010.

Polskie LNG Sp. z o. o. is a special purpose vehicle established to build and operate the Świnoujście LNG terminal, which will allow to collect liquefied natural gas and contribute to increasing the energy security of the country.

On 15 July 2009 Polskie LNG Sp. z o.o. received a decision regarding the construction permit for the land part of the LNG regasification terminal in Świnoujście, issued by Marcin Zydorowicz, the voivode of the West Pomeranian Region. The decision is now valid.

Operator Gazociągów Przesyłowych GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is the owner of Polskie LNG Sp. z o.o.
