Put up candidates, help us find a Business Pearl
Which event in your opinion should be recognized as the Economic Event of the year? Who should be given the title of the Business Personality? Świat Biznesu periodical has announced the 12th edition of Business Pearls competition to round up the year 2015.

Events, phenomena and business trends occurring in West Pomerania in 2015 can be entered in the competition under the Economic Event of the Year category. Business phenomena that are innovative and original and that result in market expansion, investment-related growth and increase of workplaces are favoured. The award will go to a business organization or an institution that can be seen as a paragon or an embodiment of these characteristics.
As far as the category of the Business Personality of the year is concerned, individuals who distinguished themselves by their unconventional and innovative approach to economic or public activity projects in 2015 can be nominated for the competition.
How to put up your candidates?
The readers of both Świat Biznesu periodical and Szczecinbiznes.pl portal can enter candidates for Business Pearls under each of the two categories, i.e. the Economic Event and the Business Personality.
The only requirement is to fill out the application form the template of which can be found on Świat Biznesu website and justify the choice (in the form file). The nominations can be sent electronically, by fax or by post - Świat Biznesu is waiting for the candidates until 15 January 2016.
Results announcement
The candidates will be evaluated by a Jury composed of economic journalists, representatives of the economic circles and the academia. Aneta Zelek, professor of economy and the president of the West Pomeranian Business School will preside over the jury’s discussions. The results of the competition will be announced at the gala scheduled to take place in February 2016. Winners will receive statuettes and diplomas.
During the Business Pearls gala the winners of the Inspiring Start competition will also be honoured – the Inspiring Start competition is organized by the Polish Entrepreneurs Foundation and our portal to recognize and award young entrepreneurs whose business ideas, determination and skills can set an example for all those planning to establish their own companies.
Last year the editors of Świat Biznesu awarded a Business Pearl to the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority Management for its ambitious investment programme (Economic Event of the year 2014) and to Krzysztof Kowalski, the CEO of DGS Poland.
