The construction works on the third warehouse in Prologis Park Szczecin began in March, and its completion is planned for the third quarter of 2015. 

 

The warehouse will be classified as a class A building and will cover the area of 27.65 thousand square meters. Almost 70% of the space has already been leased. “Two lease contracts have been signed – one concerning the area of 8.64 thousand square meters - with Bridgestone Stargard Sp. z o.o., a subsidiary of Tokio Bridgestone Corporation which is the largest global manufacturer of tyre and rubber products, and the other (for 10.37 thousand square meters) with a large furniture concern”, says Ewa Zawadzka, vice-president of the management board and director for land acquisition and development in Poland. Ms. Zawadzka has not let us in on the secret about the name of the furniture concern in question.  

 

It is planned that the buildings will cover the total area of almost 97 thousand square meters.  “We are constantly monitoring the needs of the market in Szczecin. If it proves that the customer demand is growing, we are prepared to construct more structures”, adds Ewa Zawadzka.

 

Prologis Park Szczecin was established in 2008. The complex consists of two structures with the total floor space of 53 thousand square meters  The building covering the area of 41.6 thousand square meters has been placed into use first Swedwood (manufacturer of pine furniture), Rhenus Logistics and DB Schenker (logistic companies) are the lessees. Building No. 2 with the floor space of 11.2 thousand square meters has been built for the needs of Prime Cargo, a Danish logistic operator, and it fills the role of a distribution centre for the company’s Scandinavian customers. 

 

The complex is situated in the area of Goleniów Industrial Park, near S3 expressway, approximately 40 kilometres from the border with Germany and 7 kilometres away from Szczecin-Goleniów airport.
