KK Wind Solution commissions a new shop floor and searches for new staff

The new shop floor was commissioned on 25 November. At present, KK Wind Solutions Polska occupies three floors, including one located in the North-West Logistics Park, and Siemens is its key account. This year, the company has also launched production for another German client, Senvion.

In 2015, the wind power division reported a turnover of PLN 650 million. We have an ambitious goal to double that amount within the next three years, says Tommy G. Jespersen, Chairman of the Management Board of KK Wind Solutions.

He points out to the convenient location of the Szczecin facility (six hours’ drive from Denmark) and effective cooperation with the local authorities, both at the city and the regional level. Supplies of electricity to satisfy the needs of the expanding plant are among the major challenges he identifies for the future. Unavailability of appropriate human resources may also be a serious obstacle to the company’s further growth.

KK Wind Solutions has just launched a recruitment campaign to hire 70 people to join the current 450-member team.
We are searching for engineers, including ones to support our R&D Department, logisticians and manufacturing department staff. We are also willing to hire unexperienced employees whom we will get prepared for the new job thanks to our new training system, says Łukasz Andrzejczak, Engineering Department Manager, KK Wind Solutions.

Also the new technical service company operating within the structure of the Danish group under the business name of KK Wind Solutions Service A/S is offering career opportunities. Service technicians will be recruited in Poland and Denmark equally. Industry experience and a very good command of the English language are the key requirements for the candidates. The first service technicians were successfully recruited in Poland earlier this year, in the fall. The recruitment process may be continued at the beginning of the new year.

KK Wind Solutions, established in 1978, is the leading supplier of electrical systems for the wind power industry. The company has already supplied more than 20 thousand control systems for wind turbines globally, including ca. 60% of systems installed on offshore wind farms around the world.

It has sales offices in Germany, China, Korea and the United States as well as a technical division servicing turbines worldwide.

The Polish branch was opened in Szczecin in 2003.
