The company’s management has announced that opening a new operating centre will enable Genpact to expand its services’ portfolio in Europe and all over the world. From its new Szczecin site Genpact will deliver various services, including finance and accounting (F&A), supply chain and procurement, customer service and banking back office services. Genpact is currently serving several clients from the DACH region, including a leading bank and telecommunications solutions major, and it plans cooperation with a global telecom operator.
Genpact's goal is to continue to get closer to the clients and provide them the flexibility to draw value from all of European locations as they seek help in transforming their operations," says Ahmed Mazhari, vice president, Genpact Europe. "With two clients off to a great start in Szczecin and several more about to begin, we see a lot of potential to grow in this location, particularly with companies in Austria, Switzerland and Germany.”
The new centre brings the total number of Genpact sites in Poland to three, following Lublin and Krakow. As part of its site growth strategy and commitment to the regional workforce, Genpact will also be working closely with the local schools of higher education, among others the University of Szczecin and the West Pomeranian University of Technology. So far 70 persons have been employed in the Szczecin site and the number should grow to 250 over the course of the year.
“We systematically develop our business in the European market,” says Pascal Henssen, Chief Operating Officer, Genpact Europe. "Our ability to effectively manage our clients' operations across sites will ensure that the centre in Szczecin will be seamlessly incorporated in Genpact global structure enabling us to further deliver significant business impact to our clients with European operations."
Genpact opened its first European centre in Hungary in 2002. In 11 years the company grew to 13 locations in Europe with more than 3,400 employees, building one of the largest and most diversified BPM delivery businesses in Europe.
