Pol-Glass which produces slides for water parks and centres is to have a plant in Goleniów
Construction of a slide in Pol-Glass /archive/
Pol-Glass has been designing and constructing water slides made of laminate for over 20 years. At present the company operates in Wołczkowo near Dobra Szczecińska. It has constructed over 200 slides of the total length exceeding 20 kilometres in Poland and all over Europe.
The management decided to buy a 1.5 hectare plot in the Goleniów Industrial Park for PLN 767 thousand. The notarized deed will be concluded on 15 December and construction works are to be launched at the beginning of the next year.
“The plant in GIP is connected with a long-term investment strategy which will enable further development of the company,” says Michał Ostajewski, Pol-Glass development manager. “One of the reasons for the investment is the ability to widen the range of prefabs with no size limitations. Another important factor was the perfect location of GIP - Pol-Glass supplies it products throughout Europe and its clients require that orders be promptly met.
The plant which will include office and staff rooms, warehouse and state-of-the-art machinery is to be opened in the second half of 2010. In the new premises the company will focus on production of laminates and will expand its production adding steel structures supporting the slides.
Pol-Glass intends to hire approx. 50 persons (welders, laminators). Hiring of some of them will start next month in Goleniów and the nearby areas. Once the company moves, the plant in Wołczkowo will be closed down.
