Bridgestone’s expansion
In a new facility, Japan’s company will produce 1350 tyres a day more than today

Information about the expansion of the tyre production plant in Stargard owned by the Japan’s Bridgestone Corporation has been announced in Tokyo. The objective is to increase the production capacity of the truck and bus radial tyre plant. This way, once the project has been completed, the plant will produce approx. 1350 tyres a day more, which will give the total of 3750 tyres a day.
The total value of the investment project will reach approx. EUR 120 million, i.e. JPY 1.6 billion. The new plant floor should be ready in the second half of 2014. This will also result in new jobs.
Representatives of Bridgestone Group say that the company is continuously expanding its production and supply systems to be able to promptly respond to increased demand for their products and deliver them as fast as possible.
Bridgestone Corporation with its seat in Tokyo is the world’s biggest tyre and rubber company. It sells its products in 150 countries in the world. The company in Stargard launched operations in 2009. Currently is produces approx. 2400 tyres a day. It hires over 600 employees.
