The surface area of the new shop floor will be about 3,000 sq. m. Viking Windows plans on completing the construction by late July or early August. The new development will be the company’s second manufacturing plant in Koszalin.

 

“We are building a completely new plant that will focus on the manufacturing of wooden doors and windows. We hope that the new investment will help us improve our manufacturing efficiency and increase our product range”, announces Krzysztof Procz, co-owner of Viking Windows. Ultimately, the company plans on doubling its production output.

 

“The majority of the goods we manufacture are exported, mainly to the United Kingdom. We want to be even more competitive on that market”, explains Krzysztof Procz. For its British clients Viking Windows will mainly manufacture sliding windows, casement, windows, composite windows and English sliding windows.

 

The plant will be fitted with cutting-edge machinery and equipment offering a high degree of safety; it will also be a disabled-friendly workplace. 100 new jobs will be created as a result.

 

The company Viking Windows bought a 0.5 ha plot for the construction from Pomorska Agencja Rozwoju Regionalnego S.A., the entity managing the Słupsk Special Economic Zone.  The investor has already been granted permission to conduct business activity in the Special Economic Zone. “The advantage of the location is its easy access to public roads, readily available infrastructure and exemption from income and property taxes for new investors, which reduces our costs”, Krzysztof Procz counts the benefits.

 

Viking Windows Sp. z o.o. was established in Koszalin in 2011. Today it employs 60 people.
