The scope of business of ReinCARnation includes extensive restoration, service and construction of vintage vehicles to order. Literally, the company’s name means “a new life in a new body”. Thanks to his hard work, knowledge and experience, Mateusz Zakrzewski, the founder and manager of ReinCARnation, is able to breathe new life into old cars.

We specialize in restoration of vintage vehicles, their service and individual design, says Mateusz. Depending on the needs of our clients, we can restore a car striving to reconstruct its historic appearance as accurately as possible, or customize it at the request of the owner, by changing or adding various elements, from the paint or upholstery color to the smallest details. We are also able to import the car of the client’s dreams and restore or customize it as ordered.

Mateusz has always been passionate about cars. He gained his experience in his own garage, practicing on his own car. Needless to say, the choice of school was natural and Mateusz attended a technical school of motor vehicle engineering, where, as he admits now, he acquired only basic knowledge and skills. Everything that he knows today is the result of his hard work and passion – most of all, vintage cars.

He has explored that topic for years, both in theory and in practice. Not only has he worked in garages, repaired and restored old motor vehicles as a hobby and took part in rallies and reunions of vintage car enthusiasts, but he also studied various car magazines and reports intensively. He has been rewarded for his achievements at numerous events, rallies or competitions. His lifelong dream, though, was to open his own garage, where he could indulge in his hobby entirely. The dream came true several months ago, when ReinCARnation was officially opened at ul. Hrubieszowska 1.

In fact, the demand for such services is huge and our business is becoming increasingly popular, explains Mateusz. Obviously, our clients are mainly vintage car lovers, often collectors from all around the country. But we also deal with people who have come across an old car in their grandfather’s garage and wish to restore it.

The length of a “restoration” project and the price depend mainly on the condition of the car, whether the vehicle is complete, what parts are needed, if they are available or need to be custom-made. The scope of work to be done with each car is very broad and it ranges from standard mechanical work and dealing with engine problems, to car spraying and upholstery.

Some cars simply need to be completely dismantled and put together from scratch, explains Mateusz. In addition to working at the garage, I often have to buy or order the spare parts and, most importantly, find the original photographs and descriptions on the basis of which the car is subsequently restored. Multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills are surely needed to do that job.

A project involving one vehicle may take up to a year. For instance, we needed eight months to restore Mercedes SL450 (1979). ReinCArnation deals with a variety of cars, though, from young timers to pre-war vehicles, says Mateusz. Needless to say, the older the car, the more interesting it is to restore it.

We carry out the projects ourselves, if necessary, with the support of partner experts or subcontractors. We focus on continuous development and want to engage in interesting car restoration projects, says the owner of ReinCARnation. Our website is almost ready, we have a growing number of Facebook fans and information about ReinCARnation is spread through the grapevine. We are planning to expand our capabilities and provide top quality services in the future.
