The acquisition took place on January, 13, but the price paid in the transaction has not been disclosed to the public.  

According to the official announcement, as a result of the acquisition, REC Global will be able to carry out even more complex engineering projects and the Group will establish a stronger foothold in Central and Eastern Europe.

 

Daniel Jabłoński, the head of REC Global branches in Szczecin and Zielona Góra, gave the following comment:  “It is a great development opportunity for us. Currently, there are approximately 500 people in our employ, but the transaction will allow us to create more jobs and launch many new projects in the years to come. It will also give Szczecin a chance to expand and develop in the spheres that are most important, such as Automotive, IoT and Maritime sectors.”

 

GlobalLogic serves Scandinavian and American clients, whereas REC Global primarily cooperates with companies operating in German markets.  “Joining our forces will make it possible for us to increase sales and enter new markets.  We hope that our new owner will initiate some new projects for us too,” says Daniel Jabłoński.

 

The Szczecin branch of REC Global has been operating in Piastów Office Center since the end of 2014. The Company was set up in 2007 by Seweryn Krajewski, Krzysztof Kuliński and Małgorzata Rak. REC Global specializes in developing embedded systems and delivering bespoke software solutions to largest companies across a range of industries such as automotive, telecommunication, industrial automation, mobile and corporate solutions. It has eight dedicated research and development centres in Poland, Croatia and Slovakia, and 12 sales and support offices which employ a team of over 500 highly qualified engineers. At present the Company operates on 20 markets, mainly in Western Europe and the United States. Over the eight years of its business REC Global carried out more than 500 projects.
