The Company has received over PLN 16 million of low-interest loan as part of the Jessica Initiative.   The total project value amounts to over PLN 25 million, and the investment is divided into two phases. The first one is focused on renovating the building that previously housed the Kosmos cinema and establishing a cultural and conference centre there,  including a conference and concert hall with a capacity of six hundred and fifty. The building will possess, among others, simultaneous interpreting booths.

During the second phase  a modern, low-energy building at al. Wojska Polskiego will be erected directly in front of the movie theatre.    It will have the area of 2.3 thousand square meters of office and service-related space. The investor promises that an electric car charging station will be located there as well.

A general access area between the two buildings will serve as an outdoor cinema.   The plan is that the buildings will be joined by an underground passageway.   The basement of the movie theatre will house an exhibition of renovated objects, such as cameras, photos, etc.     In addition, a glass-walled café is to be established in the new building – visitors will be able to admire the old mosaic walls of the movie theatre from there.

Mark Invest operates in the sector of real property trading and leasing.   “Kosmos is our second investment. Currently we own the office building at ul. Mazowiecka in Szczecin which we lease to Polish and foreign companies,” – says Jolanta Wójtowicz, the President of Mark Invest’s management board.

The Company became the majority shareholder of Kosmos after it purchased shares from Astoria company run by the Golema brothers – the owners of many restaurants in the region. Previously, the majority holders also held interest in the land. At present the investor is in the process of selecting a contractor and is waiting for a building permit to come in. According to the plans, the Kosmos Centre will be ready to welcome first clients on 30 June 2015.
