Energy-efficient houses will be built in Stargard

Procyon has started up a passive house facility and wants to hire 100 persons.

Procyon is a Polish company specializing in erecting complete engineering concrete structures.  It was established in 2006 and until now it was operating exclusively on the Scandinavian market in cooperation with concerns such as Celsa Steel Service, NCC, Svevia, and Skanska. Now it has decided to extend the range of its services and manufacture passive houses in Stargard.

“We have got ten ready-to-use passive house designs  We produce prefabricated elements such as walls, windows and doors which are then transported and assembled in the indicated location. Carrying out an order of this sort from the moment of entering the construction site until the shell & core status lasts approximately 3 months.  The prices per one square meter range from PLN 2.6 to 3 thousand net. The houses are covered by a thirty-year warranty, we service them for a period of two years; they are also certified as passive houses” – explains Aleksandra Drabik, product manager.

According to the producers, the most important advantage of living in such houses is that the costs of heating can be reduced up to eight times. “We accept no compromises when it comes to our core business. What was innovative yesterday, is a standard as of today. We build each house as if it was meant for our own families” – assures Bartłomiej Szejny, a chief operating officer at Procyon.

The company addresses its offer both to its current customers and to customers in Poland, because it intends to promote passive house structures in our country.     It plans to build approximately 180 houses a year and currently employs 27 persons at the Stargard facility, but as the production intensifies, the headcount may go up to 100.
