Tournament participants /arch./ Tournament participants /arch./

Over 80 amateur golfers from Poland and Germany took part in the First Polish – German Integration Golf Tournament in Binowo Park.

The golf enthusiasts living in our region invited their colleagues from Schloss Krugsdorf Golf Club for a three-day long tournament organised in Binowo. The event attracted many representatives of the world of business, politics, sports and culture from the area of Szczecin and Pasewalk.

The individual competitions took place in the junior, female and male categories as well as in pairs. Each pair was composed of a representative of Krugsdorf Golf Club and Binowo Park Golf Club.

Robert Nowosad won in the juniors (74 total net strokes). He was closely followed by Maciej Witkowski (74 strokes) and Tomasz Stankiewicz (81 strokes). In the female category the first place went to Teresa Gajczyk-Góra (77 strokes), the second to Kerstin Krieger (82 strokes) and the third to Ela Górska (86 strokes). Klaus Meisner won in the male category (70 strokes) outdistancing Sławomir Piński (70 strokes) and Adam Mario (71 strokes).

Bart Fernhout and Sławomir Piński (62 total net strokes) took the lead in the main team competition, followed by Klaus Meisner and Maciej Witkowski (63 strokes). Mario Adam and Sylwester Tutko came third (64 strokes).

The organisers assure us that the golf tournament has met all their expectations and hopes in full. Even though the competition was fierce, it was also friendly and enjoyable. Krugsdorf Golf Club has already invited the members of Binowo Park Golf Club to a similar event which will take place in Germany, in spring 2011.
