44 golfers of 11 countries competed for three days to win the PLN 40 thousand award in the Floating Garden Szczecin Open 2009 presented by Lexus, which is the most important professional golf championship in the region.

The winner was unknown almost until the last hole. Throughout the last third round, American Peter Bronson tried to catch up Finland’s Peter Erofejeff. After two days the former was losing by three strokes to the latter. Eventually, the Finn won by one point with the score of 211 strokes. Peter Bronson came second with 212 strokes. Last year winner, Paul Nilbrink of Norway with 213 strokes was third.

The championship took place over the second weekend of October at the Binowo Park golf course.
