The Festival was opened with the April concert of Jazz Bigband Graz, a new rising star. It consists of seventeen musicians playing future-jazz and a mix of jazz and club music. An unusual video show provided a background to their music.

Nicola Conte, well known to fans of jazz and bossa nova music, renowned for his cooperation with the legendary Blue Note, visited Szczecin in May.

In June, Szczecin saw a concerts performed by Orchestra Baobab, one of the most characteristic formations in the history of African music. The other will be the show of Chick Corea, one of the world’s best jazz piano players. He will perform at June 24.

In July, two other are planned: that of Calexico, a band of US/Mexican border with many fans (at July 7) and Kronos Quartet, one of the world’s top string quartet. They will perform in Szczecin at July 9.
