Herbie Hancock concert at the Szczecin Music Fest is planned on the 22nd of July at 20:00 p.m. in the large courtyard of the Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes. This will be a unique concert with at least three reasons: the artist will perform for the first time in Szczecin, it will be the final concert of this year's festival and will be an opportunity to buy newly issued first autobiography Hancock Polish, and by the way get the signature of the stars! 

 

Herbie Hancock is a living legend of jazz. He has already 55 years of a professional career and is one of the most influential pianists in the world. He was a child prodigy, at the age of eleven he played Mozart's "Piano Concerto No. 5" during the talent concert with the Chicago symphony. His early career is a job in the great Miles Davis quintet, where together with Ron Carter and Tony Williams he created the most famous modern jazz rhythm section. Then came the time for a solo career. He created his own groundbreaking sextet and as one of the first introduced to jazz electronic keyboards.

 

Hancock worked with almost all the greatest contemporary musicians as Joni Mitchell, Christina Aguilera, Stevie Wonder, Sting or Carlos Santana. He had an enormous influence on both acoustic and electronic jazz, R&B and hip-hop. Passion, genius and desire to explore further musical genres earned him fourteen Grammy and an Oscar for the music for the film.

He has recorded over 40 albums, and many of his compositions became jazz standards. For over forty years the artist creates music both purely jazz, as well as being at greater or lesser influence of pop, rap and techno, in each of these species moving with equal ease.
