Sail Szczecin 2009

This year's Sea Days (from June 12 to 14) were much more about sailing, yachts and maritime tradition of Szczecin than previous issues of the event. Each day about 7,000 quests visited decks of large sailing ships - Dar Młodzieży, Mir and Zawisza Czarny and Polish Navy ship ORP Toruń. Many small boats sailed to Wały Chrobrego and Łasztownia island in the center of the city.

The climax of the Sea Days was The Sea Battle on Odra River. Replicas of 17th century ships of Sweden and Brandenburg and their crews fought during an impressing spectacle followed by a fireworks show.
