The construction works are going to start at the beginning of next year. The plant will be erected on a plot covering one hectare of land in the so-called Karlino Subzone included in Kostrzyńsko – Słubicka Special Economic Zone. The investor has also earmarked additional 0.8 ha for future development of the project. Several dozen people will find employment with Dunster Polska Sp. z o. o.  in the production of sun collectors to be exported mainly to EU. Initially, the intended production volume is approximately 100 items a month.

Dunster House Ltd also runs production plants in Great Britain, Estonia and Hungary, employing in total 230 staff. When planning to open a plant in Poland, the company contacted the Trade and Investment Promotion Section at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in London which suggested the West Pomeranian Investors’ and Exporters’ Assistance Centre as a reliable partner in carrying out the investment. The company was registered in Poland in January 2010 and the tender for the purchase of the plot of land was closed in June this year. On 30 June 2010 Kostrzyńsko – Słubicka Special Economic Zone issued the required business activity permit.

This is yet another foreign investor selecting Karlino municipality as the business location. The subzone covers 70 hectares of investment land in total, 37 of which have already been taken by two foreign capital investors  - Homanit Polska Sp. z o. o. (from Germany) and Scanrad Sp. z o. o. (from Sweden), as well as the domestic company of Drinktech. The projects have generated almost 450 workplaces and over PLN 400 million of investment outlays.
