The evening name giving ceremony began with a volleyball game between PSPS Chemik Police, the Polish master team, and Dynamo Kazan, the winners of last year’s Masters’ League.  The game was won by the Polish team, the hosts of the modern facility. After the game, Chairman of the Azoty Capital Group Paweł Jarczewski, Chairman of the Azoty Police Capital Group Krzysztof Jałosiński and Piotr Krzystek, President of Szczecin, joined the winner team in the middle of the hall, to participate in the light-and-laser show and to switch on the light banner over the entrance.

“We concluded the agreement with the city of Szczecin, giving us the title to name the hall Azoty Arena, for the period of three years, for PLN 700,000 per year.  We want to promote the Azoty Capital Group through sports and believe that this will improve the recognizability of our brand, not only in the West Pomerania we identify ourselves with, but around the country”, said Krzysztof Jałosiński.

On 15 January Krzysztof Jałosiński suggested that the Azoty Capital Group may invest in Pogoń Szczecin football club.
