20 years of Unity Line
Unity Line ferry operator owned by Polsteam has recently celebrated its twentieth anniversary. To mark this occasion De Mono gave a concert during the party hosted by Maciel Orłoś on the car deck of Wolin ferry.

More than 400 guests – many representatives of the marine sector among them - came to the gala. The twentieth anniversary of Unity Line serves as a good opportunity for reflection and a round-up: Here is Unity Line’a history in figures:
7 – the number of ferries used by Unity Line on two routes: Świnoujście – Ystad and Świnoujście – Trelleborg. Polonia and Skania ferries travel along the ferry line between Świnoujście and Ystad. The ferry operator’s fleet also consists two car and train ferries: Mikołaj Kopernik and Jan Śniadecki, as well as three cargo and passenger ferries: Wolin, Gryf and Galileusz.
7 – the number of presidents leading Unity Line over the 20 years of its history. Beginning from 2010 Unity Line is managed by Jarosław Kotarski.
5 million – according to the operator’s forecasts - the total number of passengers who will have used Unity Line’s services by August 2015.
320 thousand – the approximate number of passengers who used Unity Line’s travel services in 2014.
1.4 million – the number of passenger cars transported on Unity Line’s ferries over the past 20 years.
355 thousand – the number of rail carriages transported on Unity Line’s ferries over the past 20 years.
2 million – the number of trucks transported on Unity Line’s ferries until 2012.
137 thousand – plates of traditional Polish sour soup served on Unity Line’s ferries over the last 20 years.
583 thousand – pork chops with potatoes and stewed cabbage served on Unity Line’s ferries over the last 20 years.
07.08.2009 - the date of the first wedding that took place on a Unity Line ferry (Skania).
05.09.2009 - the date of the first child (a boy) born on a Unity Line ferry (also on Skania).
The longest cargo transported by a Unity Line ferry (Polonia) - three sheets for a wind power plant which were 54 meters in length.
The heaviest cargo, i.e. boiler house components weighing 124 tons - transported by Kopernik.
Fragments of a popular TV series about detective Kurt Wallander in 2 versions (British and Swedish) were filmed on board of Skania – according to the scenario and the book based on which the series were created, Kurt Wallander lived and worked in Ystad.
