In April 2014, Finland’s Hydroline set up shop in the High Technologies Industrial Park at ul. Stalowa. The company’s neighbour Hiab, a subsidiary of Cargotec, has been Hydroline’s customer from the very beginning. Hiab uses Hydroline drives in its cranes used in loading and installation work.

Last year Hydroline invested in the state-of-the-art fully automated line for wet coating hydraulic servo actuators, as well as a line for dry coating. Both lines are installed in the existing plant.

Assembly work is set to finish this week with test runs planned at the beginning of next week. We should be able to reach full production capacity in two months, said Wojciech Pasternak, CEO of Hydroline Poland.

The investment worth over PLN 2.5 M will enable us to implement all the key technological processes in our plant. This will greatly improve the technological aspects of our operations and give us full control over the quality of our products, explained Wojciech Pasternak. Up until now a large portion of activities, such as designing or coating servo actuators were done in Hydroline’s plant in Finland. More technological independence of the Polish plant will translate into lower costs.

The second project Hydroline is implementing consists in launching the manufacture of products for a new customer, also from the Cargotec Group. It will be a new type of servos to be used in machines for handling and loading containers in ports, informs Hydroline CEO. The first test batch is now being prepared together with the customer. Serial manufacture may begin at the end of March.

Today, the plant manufactures 1.5 k hydraulic servos of different types for the company’s plants in Poland, Spain and Sweden. Hydroline, which has been in the business for 55 years, is a leader in the manufacture of hydraulic drives in Finland. Today, the Polish plant has 21 employees. The company is planning on recruiting five more people soon.
