The subzone covers the area of almost 18.7 ha and it consists of three complexes. The first one includes the areas adjoining the internal port and is situated south-west of the grain elevators - it runs parallel to the Wieprza river, down to where the mouth of the Grabowa river meets Wieprza. The second complex is located at the streets: Kolejowa and Gen. Józefa Sowińskiego, and the third one – at ul. Przemysłowa.

The land of the subzone is earmarked for production and warehousing facilities, port-related structures and for the needs of small craft businesses. The companies that will decide to conduct their activity in the subzone may expect preferential tax treatment.

“Darłowo subzone is an investment land with direct access to the sea port. It is well connected with a national road system and it possesses the required infrastructure. Additionally, the Darłowo ring road, which is in the final stages of construction, is located nearby.  Offshore and marine sector investors should find the land especially attractive,” ensures Agata Jaroszewska, the head of the Promotion and Investment-Soliciting Team at Pomerania Regional Development Agency that manages the SEZ.

At present Arkadiusz Klimowicz - the Mayor of Darłowo and Leonard Ferkaluk  - the director of SEZ Management Department are negotiating with a company that would like to invest in the zone , but they do not want to disclose any details concerning the deal.  “We have entered into negotiations with a food producer.  Four other investors signed letters of intent, but the talks have been discontinued. Nevertheless, we are very active, we have been promoting the zone and we hope that new investors will soon show up,” says Magdalena Rutkowska-Krakowiak, the zoning inspector at Darłowo Town council.

Darłowska Zone will be active at least until 2026. The town intends to enlarge it by almost 20 hectares of land.
