The investor has announced that the hotel will have a three-star rating. Covering the total area of 4400 sq. m, Vulcan hotel will offer its guests a selection of 107 rooms, (mainly single and double rooms, a few triple rooms and up to six suites), two large conference rooms, several smaller ones, a restaurant and a SPA. A car park with the capacity to accommodate 200 cars will be situated next to the main entrance.

“We have decided to build a hotel, because there are not enough hotel facilities in Szczecin,” says Jan Rosiek, co-owner of the company.

The hotel will be managed by Rosiek & Sobczyński, a company that will also organize conferences and training courses.  “We perceive this undertaking as a challenge, because our business was focused on road building until now,” admits Jan Rosiek.
The construction works started in September last year. The building is being erected on a plot of land covering the area of 44 thousand square meters, at ul. Ludowa, which constitutes a section of the land bought by Rosiek & Sobczyński from the receiver in bankruptcy of Stocznia Szczecińska shipyard. The name ‘Vulcan’ comes from the shipyard that operated from this location before the WWII. All construction works are fairly advanced – two lower storeys of the target four-storey building are already finished. According to the schedule, the investment will be completed in October.

“In winter it all depends on the weather - if the atmospheric conditions are favourable, we might be able to welcome our first guests even earlier,” says Jan Rosiek.

Hotel Vulcan was designed by Halmark Pracownia Projektowa , but Rosiek & Sobczyński does not want to disclose the overall value of the investment.

The engineering and building construction company: Rosiek & Sobczyński owned by Jan Rosiek and Dariusz Sobczyński specializes in paving works. Until now its activity was focused on development of parks and squares. The company has built a Biedronka chain discount store at ul. Ludowa and it has already scheduled further investments in that area.
