NBQ purchased real property from Port Rybacki “Gryf” – the company that owns, among others, Nabrzeże Starówka (in the northern part of Łaszownia). How much did it cost? The investor keeps the amount secret.  Marek Jasiak, the president of NBQ, only says:  “Even though the buildings are in a sorry state of disrepair and unfit for use, the value of the transaction was very high for us, because we are not a large company".

The redecoration of the structures that cover the overall area of 1600 square meters has been divided into two stages, and the first one – which will focus on two buildings – is scheduled to commence in March.  The renovation process will be financed by the company from its own funds and from a commercial loan.  One of the buildings – a former shop (tania jatka) which is situated right next to Stara Rzeźnia – will serve NBQ as the premises.  The building that used to house a cafeteria will be turned into an office for lease.

During the second stage to be commenced in the second half of the year the largest of the historic buildings (formerly serving administrative purposes) and the old stables are planned to be refurbished.    President Jasiak explains that their ultimate purpose will depend on the market situation and the status of Łaszownia on the market.  He hopes to obtain EU subsidies for this part of the investment:  “We will be able to apply for EU funds only after the programmes supporting revitalization of historic monuments are announced under the new perspective 2014-2020,” – he adds.

The investor has the building projects ready, has already obtained the necessary building permits and approvals of the historic preservation officers.  “We will carry out comprehensive renovation and adaptation of the buildings for new purposes. Our works will focus on the structure, we will change the roofing, ceiling and all the fittings.  Restoring the buildings to their original state and at the same time adjusting them to fit new purposes will be the greatest challenge under this project,” – he adds.  Marek Jasiak does not quote any amount when asked about the costs of such works. “We are still in the process of reviewing tender proposals,”- he says. The architectural projects and final execution documentation has been developed by Biuro Projektowe “TTA” S.C. J. Tybińkowski K. Troszczyński from Stargard Szczeciński.

NBQ Sp. z o.o. is an engineering company that specializes in project management, construction cost management, oversight of construction by investor, optimisation of documentation and the procedures of obtaining administrative permits.  The company was established in Szczecin in 2010, and it has been engaged in works on many constriction sites in the region and all over Poland.   Until the end of October last year it filled the function of a substitute investor for the renovation of Stara Rzeźnia, among others, performing the duties of investor’s oversight of the construction works.  The premises of NBQ are located at Gdańska Street, and the company has a branch in Warsaw. It employs 18 persons.
