The Supervisory Board who appointed Hann Hanć, expects the new boss to put MSR Gryfia on the path of development. The new CEO has been given three months to create a new development plan for the shipyard.

‘Enough of making sacrifices.  It is time for development.  My plan is to focus on MSR Gryfia’s most profitable business which is ship repairs.  The shipyard has fantastic, highly qualified professionals with a wealth of experience.  We must use that potential’, says Hanna Hanć, Chairperson of the Management Board of MSR Gryfia SA.  First and foremost, she wants the staff to get involved in the creation of the company’s business development plan.

An important task will be class renewal of Dock No. 5 which is of key importance to MSR Gryfia.  It is the highest dock in the shipyard in Szczecin and Świnoujście – it can dock ships up to 40,000 DWTs.  ‘If dock No. 5 is not fully operational, the biggest ships will go elsewhere for repairs which we cannot afford to happen’, says Hanna Hanć.

Hanna Hanć has many years of experience in the marine transport industry which she gained through her work in management positions for ship companies Polska Żegluga Morska, Polsteam Luxembourg SA, and Unity Line and Prokon.  She has a university degree in economics and specialises in ship transport.  In her work she has focused on companies undergoing complex restructuring.  Before her appointment in Gryfia, she was member of the shipyard’s management board and prior to that, a chancellor of the Academy of Arts in Szczecin.
