A modern logistic centre will be created in Szczecin port
Waimea Logistic Park 1 intends to build at least 40 thousand square meters of warehouses on over 95 thousand square meters of land located in the area between Hryniewieckiego and Kujota streets.
The logistic centre will function under the name: Waimea Logistic Park – Szczecin Seaport. The lease contract between Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority and Waimea Logistic Park 1 – a member of the Waimea Holding S.A. group – will be in effect for 30 years.
The ZMPSiŚ Project (which was formerly referred to as West Pomeranian Logistic Centre (ZCL)) indicates that the centre will perform port-related services, such as keeping a customs warehouse, a free zone, providing logistic and the so-called light manufacturing services. As per the tender assumptions, ZCL will incorporate modern warehouses with the total useable floor area of not less than 40 thousand square meters.
“Changes in the sector of transport, forwarding and logistics that are currently taking place in the Polish market confirm the enormous potential of West Pomerania. In response to these growing and changing needs of the market, Waimea Holding S.A. has decided to invest in the port areas. The project will be carried out as part of the company’s multimodal undertakings,” indicates Monika Woźniak-Lewandowska, the spokesman of ZMPSiŚ S.A. “One needs to point out that the investment will create many jobs in Szczecin and in the region,” she adds.
