Café 22 re-opened

The interior of the café located on 22nd floor of the Pazim office building has undergone an overhaul. The view from the windows is the only thing left unchanged.

Since the opening in 2001, this has been the first general overhaul of the cafe and lasted approximately three months.
 
“Since the challenge was big due to the specifics of the place and the shape of the building, we are extremely satisfied to complete the works as scheduled”, says Bernadeta Brzezińska-Tomiak, Catering Department Manager at PAZIM.  
 
The key concept has been prepared by Forma Design and then refined by Dorota Kaczmarek. 
 
“We wanted to preserve the subtle elegance and warmth of the place and to combine them with elements associated with sea and water. Thus we have introduced marine elements, such as bull’s eye windows in doors, a compass rose next to the elevator, sea wave motifs over the windows and the bar reminding a ship’s side”, says Bernadeta Brzezińska-Tomiak. 
 
Menu has been changed, too. “We have focused on seasonality. Next month, for example, we will serve rhubarb-and-strawberry cake, made, like all other cakes we serve, by Muffinek bakery”, she adds. New additions include snacks: panini sandwiches and more burger types. Each season will be marked with new ice cream flavours, and the offer of both soft and hard drinks has been substantially extended Fans of cheese cake topped with raspberry syrup will be satisfied, too, since this dessert will remain on the menu.
 
How much does the overhaul cost? “Comfort of our guests was our key objective, so the cost was not so important. The expenditure was substantial since we used the best materials", says Bernadeta.
 
Cafe 22 is a part of the Pazim office facility and one of the best known and most popular Szczecin cafes. Tourists find it especially attractive for the wonderful view from its windows. During weekends, it can serve as many as 1,500 clients and in winter it usually has 300 to 400 guests a week day.
